Furaibo is a Southern California Japanese food chain. This one in Gardena is a mid size spot that sits in a strip mall that mainly consists of Asian cuisine. I tried the Korean BBQ lunch dish. It comes with salad and a choice of dressing. I tried the House dressing and it was kinda like mayo. You also get a bowl of miso soup. And then your Korean BBQ and a bowl of rice comes out. The BBQ comes on a hot skillet and its good! The meat was cut into small juicy pieces, however, the only problem I had was the fatty parts. The restaurant does a good job in cutting most of the meat off the short rib, but there was fat along the sides and within the pieces. Not too impressed with the quality of their cuts.

The environment is very cute. Like many Asian spots, they have wood beams dividing up the room and there is a sushi bar that seats 6 people. The service is decent. You do kinda get the cold shoulder a bit. The lunch menu is very decent priced. My Korean BBQ order was $9 and the lunch menu has many items around $6.95. Overall, it’s a good spot.
