This restaurant is the Japanese flavor on Pine St in Long Beach, CA. The location has many interesting features. You can come in for restaurant seating or eat at the bar. But if you want to be entertained, they have the open grill where you food is prepared live! There’s more! If you feel like you’re in the singing mood, you can go downstairs where there is a bar and karaoke ! Or you can stay after dinner for some clubbing because the restaurant portion is transformed into the dance floor after 9pm.
Its been a while since I’ve ate or visited this spot, but from what I remember, the food was average. The Gyoza (beef dumplings) were small and average. However, the special combinations were huge! They come with salad and bento box style dinner. We didn’t finish our food. But we did finish the sake bombs we ordered for the newly engaged couple. While we were eating, they were preparing the restaurant for the night club. They were moving tables out as people left and dimming the lights. Toward the end, it was really dim and the music was really loud. So we paid and got outta there. Went back to my house, lit the fire pit, and had some beers. The last time I walked pass this place on Pine, I saw go-go dancers from the front entrance. The place is changing. Good for partying. Not so much for a quite dinner. But its Pine St and it’s all about the partying.
